The Wol...Great jumper! Can we see a modelled shot?

The Wollmeise is actually a lovely yarn for shawls because it drapes really well. However I'm knitting a pair of socks with it now and I'm worried they won't have give in them because the yarn feels so cottony. I guess we'll see!Belindahttp://www.hereiknit.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9140327191657829121.post-41241619681997201622012-09-02T15:46:07.611-04:002012-09-02T15:46:07.611-04:00Really pretty cardi!

I think it will be a beautiful shawl!Katehttp://www.knitswithbenefits.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9140327191657829121.post-39554541753110808082012-09-02T14:51:56.649-04:002012-09-02T14:51:56.649-04:00Oh, Superwash blocks very nicely! It's only if it has nylon in it that it has a tendency to shrink together again after blocking, and I've actually heard that Wollmeise Twin, which is the sock yarn with nylon in it, doesn't do that either.

The Wollmeise yarn feels a bit stiff to work with, but it washes up really nicely, and I've never seen another yarn that makes for such beautiful cable work. Even though I'm not completely crazy about the yarn I do adore the colours! I think that's where the yarn really wins.

And I can't wait to see the cardigan on you! We've been away for all this weekend, but I think I'll be home next weekend so maybe we can finally get to chat!

Hugs!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17455205523834615045noreply@blogger.com
